The CFR Honors Exceptional Volunteers During National Volunteer Week 2024

April 21-27, 2024 is National Volunteer Week, highlighting the theme “Celebrate Service.” This week is a special opportunity to honor the individuals that motivate us to serve.

At the Center for Family Resources (CFR), we proudly celebrate our exceptional volunteers who embody the spirit of service, serving as a continual source of inspiration for us all.

As we reflect on National Volunteer Week, we are filled with gratitude and admiration for the invaluable contributions made by volunteers like you. On behalf of everyone at the CFR, we extend our deepest thanks for your unwavering support and dedication.

In 2023, we had over 400 volunteers, with volunteers collectively devoting over 1,800 hours of their time to assist us in various capacities. Volunteers helped provide valuable labor as we worked to convert our food pantry into a choice pantry; volunteers did everything from painting, and building shelves to rolling out the new shopping model with clients. Volunteers also have helped provide food for hundreds of people throughout the community by helping sort and package thousands of pounds of food to be distributed. Volunteers have made fundraisers, projects and so much more possible by agreeing to volunteer.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our volunteers and sincerely wish we could thank each and every one personally.

Each hour you dedicate, each task you undertake, is a testament to your generosity of spirit and your genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Your contributions, whether big or small, have a ripple effect that extends far beyond our walls, touching the hearts and transforming the futures of those we serve.

Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication. We look forward to continuing this journey together, creating positive change and building a brighter future for our community.
