About CFR Young Professionals

Founded in 2017, The Center for Family Resources Young Professionals Council (CFR YP) is an initiative comprised of young industry and community leaders, who leverage their skills and engage their networks in support of CFR. Through advocacy and fundraising efforts, CFR YP members work to actualize CFR’s mission to move people to self-sufficiency through financial stabilization, housing, and education.

Mission Statement
The Center for Family Resources Young Professionals Council activates young industry and community leaders and leverages their skills in support of CFR.

Vision Statement
A community of forward-thinking and inspired industry professionals who are effecting change in the Cobb community.

Goal 1: Brand Awareness Within the Community
Objective: CFR YP will help raise awareness of the work of CFR within the local community by leveraging their personal and professional networks.
Action Step 1: Plan and execute at least one social event to educate community members on the work and needs of CFR
Action Step 2: Actively participate in or plan at least one volunteer project

Goal 2: Fundraising
Objective: Set an annual fundraising goal and track progress to stated goal.
Action Step 1: Participate in CFR’s recurring giving campaign, “High Five for 5” by utilizing the social media toolkit to promote the campaign and secure donations.
Action Step 2: Participate in at least one of the annual fundraising events CFR presents (spring event, Scavenger Hunt, T4G)

Goal 3: Volunteerism
Objective: CFR YP will participate in volunteer activities throughout the year to be further engaged in the mission and client-centered services CFR provides to the community.
Action Step 1: Participate in a donor “thank-a-thon” by either calling donors or sending thank you notes.
Action Step 2: Participate in Thanks for Giving by volunteering the week of the event or by coordinating a food drive/box making to contribute to the distribution.
Action Step 3: Host a Client Awards dinner by providing decorations, ice breakers/games, and helping to celebrate clients for meeting goals and recognize their work.
