The Center for Family Resources (CFR) is excited to invite you to one of our upcoming volunteer orientation and The Family Cupboard training sessions. The CFR is committed to creating more volunteer opportunities in 2024 and we need your help. As part of our mission to reduce childhood homelessness, we launched a choice pantry initiative aimed at moving families to food security and this initiative needs a large number of volunteers as the program grows each week.
We have scheduled the following dates and times for the first quarter. You only need to attend one session. Volunteer orientation will be the first 30 minutes of each session and the remaining hour will be The Family Cupboard training. We encourage you to stay for the entire session if you are able.

During the orientation and training, you will learn about the work CFR does, food security and how The Family Cupboard will make a difference in the lives of struggling families. We will also provide you with the necessary tools and resources to effectively assist and support our families.
Your dedication and commitment to our mission is invaluable, and we believe that together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. By volunteering with us, you will be helping to ensure that families have access to nutritious meals and ultimately breaking the cycle of childhood homelessness.
Volunteer shifts in The Family Cupboard:
- Mondays:12:30pm-4:30pm
- Tuesdays: 9am-1pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm, 4pm-7:30pm
- Thursdays: 9am-1pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm
- Fridays: 9am-1pm
