Why I Support the CFR:  I serve on the CFR Board because I want to make a difference in the community I love and live in.  CFR’s work is important to me because, as an individual who grew up in public housing, I personally know how important it is for families to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.

My Fun Fact: I am a former foster parent and proud adoptive parent.

Stephanie Meyer- Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, Chattahoochee Technical College

Professional Fact:

Almost 20 years ago, I taught my first course as an adjunct instructor at the two-year technical college level. All it took was that one teaching course for me to be committed to the population of students that technical colleges serve. Never in a million years did I picture myself working in higher education but I am so fortunate that my path led me here. It’s an honor to serve both students and businesses through technical education.

Why I Support the CFR:

As a prior K-12 educator, I’ve seen the impact homelessness has on children in our community. I serve on the CFR Board because children and their families deserve what drives CFR’s work – stable housing. Stable housing is a key piece to helping children grow up into successful contributors to our community.

My Fun Fact:

I grew up in the third largest city in Iowa, Davenport, where our subdivisions were separated by cornfields. Iowa is also where the first computer was invented – Iowa isn’t just cornfields and pigs.
