It can take one hardship for families to get behind on their rent. When families face eviction and eviction court, it sets up a major hurdle to stability. To answer this challenge, The Center for Family Resources and the Cobb County Magistrate Court established a Housing Stability Court in 2023. This innovative, voluntary program diverts eligible families away from traditional court proceedings and provides education, resources, and financial assistance to set up a solid foundation for the future.
