CFR Client Story: Cassie

Cassie was a stay-at-home mom until the father of her children suddenly passed away. At the time, she had no job or family support to help her care for her two daughters. Cassie ended up losing her home found herself in a shelter program through Family Promise. While there, Cassie reached out to the CFR for housing assistance.

A CFR case manager was able to enroll Cassie into our Rapid Re-Housing Program and helped her find an apartment. She was elated to have a safe place for her and her children to live. During her time in our program, Cassie was able to find a job and work towards accomplishing the goals she set with her case manager. Cassie took advantage of the programs and services offered at CFR and worked hard while receiving assistance. After six months, Cassie is now able to support her children on her own.

“This has been a long stressful journey, but I made it through. I am so blessed for having a case manager like Micah who kept me positive when I felt like giving up. I stayed with Family Promise for 6 months I never thought I would find a home and in my last month, God blessed me with my apartment. I just want to thank everyone who pushed me and who helped me along the way. Without The Center for Family Resources, I don’t know if I would’ve made it through this process. So happy I finally have my independence and my own home.” – Cassie
