The Mansour Conference Center to Close its Doors Permanently

The Center for Family Resources (CFR) announces the permanent closure of the Mansour Conference Center as of July 31, 2020, due to the sale of the building.

Named in recognition of the impressive capital gift made to the CFR by the family of John and Myrna Mansour, the building has been owned and operated by our organization since 2005, with a vision to provide crucial income for the CFR as a nonprofit tenant center and meeting space for the community.

“Over the past 15 years, this vision has been realized by hosting countless community events and housing numerous nonprofit partner agencies, including our longest standing tenants, Disabled American Veterans, Sheltering Arms, the CFR and United Way of Greater Atlanta,” said our CEO, Melanie Kagan.

The Mansour Conference Center has hosted more than 350 events and 12,000 people annually, including trainings, parties and more. The CFR is grateful for the space the building provided the community to convene and address important issues facing the residents of Cobb County, including eviction prevention, affordable housing and transportation, hunger relief, childcare, unemployment and education support.
