The Center for Family Resources provides a key service to community partners. For the past few years, we have been the administrator for three area companies’ employee financial assistance programs. These programs allow employers to provide emergency financial assistance to employees negatively impacted by catastrophic and unexpected events. COVID-19 has proven to be a catalyst for more companies deciding to make this generous benefit available to help care for employees. The CFR has been chosen by two new organizations, Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) and Cobb & Douglas Public Health (CDPH), to confidentially accept, evaluate and process all requests for emergency employee assistance.
Cobb Community Foundation is the first community foundation in Georgia to offer Employee Assistance Funds (EAFs). CFR will work with CCF to administer benefits for Liberty Furniture employees.
In addition to CCF and Liberty Furniture, we will also be working with Cobb & Douglas Public Health employees in partnership with CDPH and the Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation.
