Looking for Ways to Support the Center for Family Resources? Here’s How

For 60 years, the Center for Family Resources has served Cobb County through decades of change, growth, hardship and unexpected challenges. We are doing everything we can to continue vital services as we collectively work to address the significant disruption caused by COVID-19. Unfortunately, times of crisis are often magnified for the most vulnerable and our agency’s own ability to support those in need has been impacted by the cancellation of our annual fundraising gala. The financial assistance provided by the Center for Family Resources is extremely valuable and often means the difference between a family staying safely housed or finding themselves facing homelessness.

There are three ways that you can partner in our work to address the anticipated increased need in our community:

  • Visit our online auction site at CFRGALA.givesmart.com.
    • Shop at the Center for Family Resources’ Diamonds in the Garden Online Auction, Friday, March 20 through Friday, April 3.
      • Funds raised will be invested in our operations and work to help families in need of a hand-up to remain financially stable. We’ve got plenty of great things you can bid on to enhance your favorite hobby or cultivate a new one. Choose from a BBQ grill, patio furniture, gardening tools, self-care and wellness baskets and much, much more. Items will be available for pick up immediately following the close of the auction. Shipping will be arranged.

  • Purchase a ticket for our online raffle by April 17.
    • Mark and Rhonda Jacobson, co-owners of Cumberland Diamond Exchange, have donated a diamond pendant and a Victorinox Gens-Officers Swiss Army watch for you to win for yourself or for that special woman or man in your life.
    • The raffle will begin Friday, March 20 and end on Friday, April 17. The drawing will occur on April 17 and raffle winners can arrange to pick up their winning item immediately after the drawing.

  • Donate to the Center for Family Resources. If your employer matches employee donations, make a donation and follow-up with your employer to ask for the match. Click here to donate.

Now more than ever our community will need to come together to support each other and those with increased need. So, bid now and bid often! Purchase a raffle ticket, or two, three or more! Or consider donating today.
