Annual Thanks for Giving and Cobb Christmas Registration to be held October 15 and 16

The Center for Family Resources, in partnership with Cobb Christmas and the Georgia Department of Human Services, will be hosting a registration event for the organization’s 34th annual Thanks for Giving program, and for Cobb Christmas, on October 15 and 16 at the Cobb County Civic Center.

The programs are designed to help low-income Cobb County families alleviate some financial stressors during the holiday season. Thanks for Giving will be registering individuals and families to receive a box of traditional Thanksgiving groceries plus extras for lunches while children are out of school for the holiday, and Cobb Christmas will be registering individuals and families for dependent children to receive age-appropriate Christmas gifts. Together, the two longstanding programs have served tens of thousands of Cobb County residents since their inception.
