A Special Mother’s Day Note

Mother’s Day holds a special place in the hearts of all of us. It is a time when we honor those women in our lives who provide us with unconditional love and who we can count on during our times of need. These women strive every day to ensure we have the best that life can offer.

As we take time to honor and celebrate the mothers in our lives, the Center for Family Resources reflects on the strength, determination and bravery of the women we serve who seek a better life for their families and themselves. Our organization’s greatest impact has been on female-headed households across Cobb County by supporting mothers who support their families.

In 2018, the Center for Family Resources’ programs prevented homelessness for or housed a total of 221 families; 75% of these families were female-headed households and represented a total of 711 parents and children. Of the 3,873 households representing 12,356 individuals assisted throughout 2018 with housing stabilization, education, employment, food, life skills, and holiday programs, 72% were female-headed households.

The impact we are able to make in the lives of families is made possible by generous donations of wealth, wisdom and work from the community. This Mother’s Day, please consider making a financial donation to the Center for Family Resources in honor of the women served by our organization who are committed to making a better life for their families. Please make a donation today.

To more easily budget, spread your giving over time. Consider giving a re-occurring monthly donation. Such a donation will allow you to increase your impact and will provide the Center for Family Resources a dependable stream of income to support programs to help women and their families thrive.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. In partnership we can do so much more to ensure all women have the opportunity to provide their families the best that life can offer.
