Ways to Support Your Community in Summertime

As the cold winter fades and summer begins, new challenges arise for Cobb County families. Kids of all ages, K-12 grades and even college students, are home for summer break. Childcare costs can rise with more hours of supervision each day, and lunch adds another mealtime to fill. Low-income and single-parent households rely on the support of organizations like the Center for Family Resources’ food pantry donations and more.

We wanted to share a great tip for our donors when planning your next food pantry drop. Items that offer the best shelf life and ability to help feed families are non-perishable products, such as:

  • Tuna
  • Canned Chicken
  • Pasta
  • Peanut Butter

Any and all donations are welcome this summer as we continue to empower families in need throughout Cobb County.
