On Saturday, March 9, 2019, 540 Cobb County business and community leaders and philanthropists came together at the Cobb Galleria Centre for the Center for Family Resources’ Winter Wonderland Gala. This year’s event raised more than $343,000 to support the organization’s mission-aligned work, an increase of 52 percent over 2018.

Now in its 24th year, the 2019 gala was co-chaired by Kim Gresh, George Hartzog, Terri Bunten Guthrie and Jim Guthrie. Guests experienced an evening that included great food, music and dancing. They also bid on more than 200 auction items, raising a record $83,000.

Since 1960, The Center for Family Resources has provided services to move Cobb County’s most vulnerable families to self-sufficiency through financial stabilization, housing and education. Annually more than 10,000 people reach out to the organization for assistance. The annual gala highlights the work of the Center for Family Resources to prevent homelessness and address the root causes of housing instability.
