29 years ago, The Center for Family Resources created the Thanks for Giving campaign in an effort to help Cobb County families in need.

As an organization rooted in tradition, we wanted to create a program that allowed families to create a tradition of their own.  Thanks for Giving, gives them the opportunity to take items that they are able to create a meal with, home, so that they can prepare a Thanksgiving meal with their families.

Every fall, thousands of families struggle to keep food on the table. Thanksgiving week can be even more financially stressful when students are home from school for more than just the holiday meal.  Through participation in the annual Thanks for Giving food drive, our generous community captures the true spirit of Thanksgiving and provides families with the ability to create holiday traditions in the comfort of their own home.
