2007 Program Highlights
- Assisted 331 families with rent or utility payments, totaling $235,499
- Served 2,716 households, or 7,949 people, with food from the food pantry;
- Housed 220 individuals (77 adults and 143 children) through the Short-Term and Transitional Housing Programs;
- Encouraged 29 youth through the Mentoring Program, which serves at-risk youth with the help of community volunteers;
- Partnering with 77 people from 4 neighborhoods in the Community Leadership Development Program, which empowers communities with the knowledge and skills needed to work together to solve neighborhood problems;
- Facilitating GED classes, life skills training, career counseling, and job skills training for 176 people; and
- Welcoming community and individual volunteers, who provided more than 8,300 hours to assist CFR programs and services—a dollar value of nearly $157,000.
