It is the mission of The Center for Family Resources to Strengthen Individuals, Families, and Communities.

Since 1960, CFR has helped thousands of low-income families with employment, education, and housing services; leadership development programs; mentoring opportunities; and temporary financial and food assistance. At CFR, our values come FIRST. Guided by organizational values of Family, Integrity, Results, Service and Teamwork, the staff at CFR is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by helping families acquire the resources they need to become independent and self-sufficient.

EventCFR Prepares for Thanksgiving

As families prepare for a holiday with loved ones surrounding a Thanksgiving feast, many of our Cobb neighbors must stretch their budgets, making it difficult to afford a Thanksgiving meal for their families. The Center for Family Resources, in partnership with the Cobb County Department of Family and Children Services, has been providing Thanksgiving baskets to families in need in Cobb County for more than 20 years. It is only through donations from the community that we are able to continue to feed hungry families in Cobb County. In 2007, CFR provided Thanksgiving baskets to 1,000 families. CFR saw a significant increase in need during the first half of 2008 and has set a goal to provide baskets to 1,450 families this Thanksgiving. More info…
