Life is what happens when you are making other plans.

An unexpected event, such as the loss of a job, the death of a family member, divorce, or medical emergencies can place people in difficult financial situations. Direct Services provides financial assistance for basic needs to stabilize families in crisis, including:

• Help with rent, mortgage or utilities – Up to $700 in rent or mortgage assistance, and up to $500 in utilities assistance is available to families once-in-a-lifetime so that they can remain in their current homes. This program helps prevent homelessness.
• Food – CFR has an on-site food pantry available to families in need. This program prevents hunger.
• Transportation – CFR can assist individuals with public transportation tickets so that they can maintain employment. This program prevents job loss.
